5 Tips to Help You Build Your Custom Website

Your custom website may take a lot of time to build. However, it doesn’t have to. You can have your first custom website put together in one day if you’d like. This article gives you 5 simple things to remember when you build your custom website.

1. Never Use Splash Pages
Basically a splash page is that page you see that usually has some soft elevator music with sweet graphics and a link that says “skip intro” or “enter here.” This has nothing to do with your actual web business and you will lose viewers because of it. So never use splash pages, no matter what your graphic designer says.

2. Avoid Banner Ads
Let’s face it. Banner ads annoy all of us. Don’t let your custom website have a boat load of them. It just reeks of “buy my stuff, buy my stuff!” Most people are thrown off by this. In the place of those banner advertisements, put some valuable content or some well written affiliate links.

3. Make Your Custom Site Easy to Navigate
You can have the most beautiful site online, however if your visitors cannot figure out how to easily navigate your website, they’ll leave in an instant. Remember, you only have about 10 seconds (if that) to capture your visitor’s interest. If you don’t, they’ll leave. So make it easy for them to stay.

4. Make Sure Your Viewer Knows Where They Are
Hopefully your visitors will get heavily involved in reading your content. They may also clink links that take them to different pages. Just make sure your visitor has an easy way back to your home page no matter where they are. And let them know at the top of the page where they are. Remember, if your visitor gets confused, he’ll leave.

5. Avoid Annoying Audio
Your custom website really shouldn’t have useless audio. If you are going to have audio, make sure there is a mute or pause button. Your visitor does not want to hear you talk about your website in an endless loop during their duration at your site. Audio is good, just use it wisely.

To Grow Your Online Income, You’ll Need to Turn Your Defeat Into Victory

If you have been struggling to grow your online income and make some real online cash, then there is one good reason why. And don’t worry, it happens to us all. Even the best online marketing coaches have gone through this and have been right where you are today.

One of the key reasons you could be struggling to grow your online income is because you have not realized how to turn your defeat into victory. Just think about that for a moment. There was some failure in your online career that has stopped you, and you have not learned from it yet. And until you take that defeat as a learning experience and grow from it, you’ll continue to struggle online.

It should come as no surprise that there are a lot of people on Skid Row these days. Face it, the economy blows. But do you know what most if not all the people on Skid Row have in common with a wealthy online marketer? Well, the person on Skid Row and the wealthy online marketer both had set backs and failures. However, the person on Skid Row let their set back or failure beat them, and the wealthy online marketer took the set back or failure as a learning experience and turned it into victory.

When the person on Skid Row got knocked down, he failed to get up again. However, when the wealthy online marketer got knocked down his reaction was much different. He bounced back up, learned a lesson, forgot about the beating, and moved upward. Period.

Don’t get me wrong, some of the failures we face are really, really painful. Losing your job, no money in the bank, wife leaves you, work 12 months online with nothing to show for it. All those things are painful. And you know what? I’ve been through all of them, so I can tell you from experience that they all stink.

But quitting would not be an option. That would be like a quarterback in a football key game getting sacked and then say “well, I tried my best and failed. I think I’ll just sit this one out now.” That’s rubbish.

A quote from Rocky Balboa sums this up better than I’ve ever seen.

“Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get it and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!”

In a nutshell, nobody said it was going to be easy to grow your online income and create the lifestyle you want. You have to be willing to “take the hits” and keep on moving. That’s when you’ll succeed beyond your wildest dreams.

Grow Your Online Income Even in a Crappy Economy

Have you been wondering if you can grow your online income even in a crappy economy? Well you’re not the only one. There are thousands of people trying to make money online these days. It’s almost like the next Vogue. However, I see way more frowns than I do smiles when it comes to earning money online. With the news media always talking about how bad things are it’s no wonder so many people are down in the dumps.

My remedy for that is simple. Stop watching the news. The alphabet networks (ABC, CBS, NBC MessNBC andCNN) rarely ever have anything good to say. For crying out loud, it’s almost like they get a commission for using the word “recession” in their news casts. So basically, stop watching the news. All they want to do is tell you how bad things are (like you didn’t know already or something.)

Let me give you a few names here for you to think about:
• Bill Gates
• Henry Ford
• Burger King
• Chris Farrell

• MTV Networks
• FedEx
• Sports Illustrated

Do any of those names sound familiar? I bet they do. Would you like to know what they all have in common? They all started their businesses during a recession.

For example…Microsoft Corp. wasn’t always the jaw-dropping enterprise it is today. In 1975, when it was created by Harvard University dropout Bill Gates, Microsoft was just a little company in Albuquerque, N.M. It dealt in rudimentary computing languages and began its climb to business stardom with the success of MS-DOS, which was sold and marketed to IBM Corp. and then-IBM clones. Today, the company is estimated to earn more than $60 billion in revenue per year and is branching into new areas including VoIP and CRM. 60 BILLION DOLLARS!

Or how about Sports Illustrated? It was launched on August 16, 1954, at the tail-end of a recession. The magazine benefitted from fortunate timing as a boom in professional sports exploded soon after its founding. Sports Illustrated now sells about 3 million copies in the U.S. each week. 3 MILLION copies a week!

The Science of Getting Rich Online to Grow Your Online Income

Finding ways to grow your online income in this economy can sometimes drive you flipping nuts! I’ve heard people mention the science of getting rich more times than I can shake a stick at. It seems like everybody has their own theory on how to survive the recession. Just some of the kind of stuff you’ll see across the internet and blogosphere is advice like:

1. Protect your job
2. Move while others are distracted
3. Earn extra money
4. Evaluate your mortgage
5. Refinance high interest credit cards
6. Reduce spending
7. Haggle your way to savings
8. Conserve and reduce your energy bills
9. Avoid taking on any unnecessary debts

I really could go on and on…but I won’t waste your time. I know you can Google it for yourself and find hundreds more advice from every Tom, Dick and Harry out there.

So let me get straight to the point.

With so many ways and advice, how come not everyone gets rich? How come not everyone who reduces their spending get rich? How come not everyone who has an education get rich? How come not everyone who starts a business get rich? Why can’t you just sit on your couch and “attract” money and grow your online income?

Because it’s not about what you do, it’s about how you do it. Cause while there are 1001 ways to grow your online income, if you don’t do it RIGHT — whichever method you have chosen — it won’t bring RESULTS.

So what is the ONE right thing that you need to do to get rich?

Truth is, there are probably several right ways and many different people to “teach” them to you. One guy I’ve studied is Bob Proctor. He teaches that there is a science — a formula — to get rich. It’s about doing certain things in a certain way. And this blueprint has been proven to make anyone get rich across centuries.

Grow Your Online Income with Residual Income

One of the fastest ways to grow your online income is with residual income. Residual income puts money in an affiliate marketer’s pocket without any work or effort on their part. It doesn’t get any better than that. Sales of back-end products allow you to get paid for work that you do more than once. The idea here is to work smarter…not harder.

So what are back-end products? They are products/services you offer to existing customers, i.e. to people who have already bought a first product (front-end product. lead product) from you.

Most online marketers make much more money selling customers the second, third, fourth etc. product than selling their first product. The reason is that people who’ve already bought from you once are much more likely to buy again.

Strategies like back-end offers shifts the focus from the short sighted “take the money and run” strategy that is so much in use on the internet today. You’ve seen these sites all over. The focus is on getting a massive amount of traffic and then selling visitors an over-priced product that doesn’t deliver what was promised. They might make money in the short run but they will only sell to each customer once and will have to continue spending a lot of money on advertising to get new suckers to visit their site.

More successful sites focus on building a strong relationship with their customers. Your main goal shouldn’t be to just make sure your customers are somewhat satisfied…you want them to be extremely satisfied. If you deliver the goods, your customers will trust you more. If you have their trust, you can sell them anything. When you send your very satisfied customers an email offering another product that they would be interested in, they will flock to your site to buy it because they trust you. Trust is everything.

One of the coolest people to learn this from is Jonny Andrews. I’ve learned more from this dude in one month than I did in over one year of studies in the affiliate marketing field. Basically, any product this guy puts out is worth getting. I’ve bought two of his products so far and they were both fantastic.

When you’re doing your affiliate marketing and online research, make sure you pick a product that has residual commissions. There’s nothing better than working once and getting paid for it over and over again. Good times and fuzzy bunnies
